I'm looking over the 2008 Annual Report.

None of the numbers work when you engineer or reverse engineer them.

Current NTA is 69 cents.

Current shares on issue (assuming end of year) 896,421,000.

NTA in dollars is about 619 mill.

Having about ten times the number of shares more or less reduces NTA by well.....a factor almost ten exlcuding the 2 bill that it adds to the balance sheet.

So you're looking at a NTA of around 6.9 cents. Which is basically a tragedy and that is what Buffett is getting at. So the Services business, Investment certainty and the goodwill has to be worth a heck of a lot in cents per share for an investor to NOW DECIDE to hop on board.

Alas, buffett I already have lodgings on this ship. And we are all equally ignorant of how the deal will ACTUALLY look. These are just ideas and speculation at this stage.
