Yes, Joel, life as a well paid director will be much less onerous and still very well remunerated. I did a post on the SLR HC blog pointing out SLRs strength and weaknesses, as well as a swipe at ' loyal shareholders ' with completely unrealistic expectations of mining stocks - trade them, with "stops" and "profit harvesting", but to hold for "dividends" through thick and thin, is sheer folly.
A mega-merged entity would become an institutional stock with the appeal of an NST or NCM.
United they thrive, divided they will remain as glorified ponzi schemes that only harvest high income for the BOD, senior and junior staff, and the WA economy.
