Been reading a bit about the Lithium industry and PLS amongst...

Been reading a bit about the Lithium industry and PLS amongst other stocks which seem to have the right medium term upside.

As a relatively new investor though, I am baffled that PLS is in the top 10 most lists of both most shorted and most longed stocks on the ASX right now. My amateur eyeballs tell me that means there is much negative and much positive seniment in the market in regards to this stock.

But what would be driving such strong willed opposing views? And is this something that happens a lot with popular stocks? What am I missing?!
