LOL JG.
I'm no fan of Bill Shorten, but there is every chance that by the next election, voters will have become so disgusted by the betrayals, reversals and overuse of extreme terms like "emergency" (which doesn't require immediate action) that they could well reverse known precedents and make this a single term government.
Already, they have decided that Labor are more competent on economic management. That's a reversal of known trends and shows what an utter meal Hokey and Co have made of it. Even business leaders are calling for moderation and some commonsense. They have come out against the PPS.
We still have the poster boy and fixit man for the Howard government, Arthur Sinodinos cooling his heels and waiting for more NSW ICAC hearings and wondering whether any charges will be laid.
Suddenly the federal coalition is wailing about the problems of having to negotiate a minority government.
OH THE PAIN!!
Gillard was an expert negotiator. She conferred early on, and achieved broad consensus. Then she comprehensively consulted in advance the detail of each and every piece of legislation, and she had both the Reps and the Senate to deal with in minority....
yet still the coalition have zero idea what to do dealing with just the Senate!
Like a bunch of numpties, the coalition brought on the vote on early on the budget without consulting and wonders why it's such a train wreck of a situation.
It's excellent theatre.
