He would not have asked for this - expected it - and is probably just as suprised as the rest of us. And what - churlish - should he refuse it? Leftists little vicious mean minds wish that he would, I'll bet. A 93 year old - begrudged a well deserved honor - what small little vile pathetic bigoted minds.

I'm headed for the hottest of showers. Somehow, reading some of this hate filled festering bilge oozing from the Left today on here, makes me feel totally besmirched, unclean and fouled. I've never known such small minded tripe.

Australia - you have a problem! I have never known such a sea of hate. Others are saying the same. Where is this sheer hate coming from? The ABC red tie brigade (The Drum, et al) is fanning most of it. Aided and abetted by the armies of Left Wing "political commentators". Even newsreaders, now, are editing the news as they read it! Sticking in their Leftist sixpenneths.

The standards of current journalism have now reached the pits.

The truth is the left need a win, even if its baseless. The little rats can smell some blood, so they will chew their own legs off for a taste of revenge. I think this sort of half baked, shallow stuff is all they need to feel relevent. Maybe the Libs will replace Abbott with Turnbull and go for three straigh terms. He can talk to the left and flap on about the republic whilst he gets things sorted.
