Rudd was egotistical and misguided on many issues like his sector killing mining tax, but appeared to be acting within his own framework of his own positive designs for business and for Australia. "

I take issue with your " sector killing mining tax "

Yes despite the mining tax been repealed ,there have still been job losses in the mining sector, due to automation, this despite the mining companies arguments to the contrary.
I have recently read two different reports out of the West Australian, where companies are looking overseas for drilling personnel, even with our record unemployment, both state and federally.

Yeah rudd had flaws, indisputable, but were they as bad as his successors?
I am of the view he was " set up " with the mining tax, swan was supposed to have done a lot of the leg work before he announced it, and the subsequent fallout allowed for gillard to ascend to the throne in my view.
Without knowing him personally, looking inward at the fishbowl, his biggest fault was that he was unaligned in terms of support from within the labor party.
His attempted party reforms, should be fully adopted IMO, offering true and transparent democracy, well at least on one side of the political divide.
I am not a fan of shorten, I am on the record as saying so.
Was it his number crunching against rudd?, that has put him offside with me?, possibly, but there is something else that he projects to me ,which says be wary.
That said, I do like labor's policies.
In an equalitarian society there is room for all, at both ends of the political divide who participate in this great country IMO .

My major problem with both the majors and their leadership groups, is that its a winner take all approach, everyone knowing that not all of either sides of the political divides policies are bad.

I say again, given Australia is about to surpass Qatar as the worlds biggest LNG exporter, why cant there be bi-partisan support for a proper remake of the PRRT ?, that will actually benefit this great country.
