The push began a while back with the green's slogan "The Elderly Are Stealing Your Future". You guessed it ... it was invented in the humanities whose grads were unable to find jobs. What could be more divisive.
This was at a time when Gillard/Rudd were pouring cash into child minding, FTA, unis etc.
