I said years ago that massive bank profits directly affected spending in the general economy.....but economists were saying that it was great to have a solid banking system....ohhhh what would you prefer that banks make no profits...a bit like a failed ex prime minister or in fact any ex pollie....It would take 20 average taxpayers to support just one of these grubs .....who will forget Bill Ochee......what a bloody joke in parliament for a few years and never struck a blow since, just a total sponge....look at credit card interest rates 12% to 20%....they get the funds for 2%......not one caring politician will go into bat for the people ....Look at the insurance scams, the banks will hold payments for years hoping the claimant will keel over before payment has to be made......the whole thing SUX and so do the pollies.
