Voice over the internet is hardly new Allan.
Telstra has said that at the moment tradition voice over copper revenue is falling and while broadband growth is high this profit centre doesn’t replace the loss in tradition voice revenue.
Having said that TLS has cut STD pricing and introduced cap plans etc so some of the damage was probably self inflicted in order to make this technology less attractive.
Yet as I said before the company some bag all the time is probably the same complained about for not spending the money on infrastructure to make all this teck stuff take off.
Just how many ways do they want it?
