As a matter of course the company already will have had a meeting some time ago and agreed on a planned date to give news and are sticking to it. It would be the worst thing for them to react now as it will just make matters worse. Better they run their own race. They are well aware of the shorters and IMO, while the pending company announcements will not be strictly to counter shorter comments, I cant but think - they will be looking to take as many as they can in one go.
