    Don't think they are mad ... maybe they have "miscalculated " ..anyway they have spooked me out of most of my holding, thereby missing out if the shorters are forced to cover


    It was weird that Mac (sic) was assisting the shorters by forecasting a SP of 2.60 when the price was 2.80>> Not a massive profit for shorters there ??

    My take is sometimes shorters get sizzled BUT often they are right because they are working on v. good info

    Eg an insider who they trust and who is indicating dire things or an outsider who knows why the SP could/will get SMASHED. ( eg legal action/authorities intervening/variated swan gooses etc)

    Third and a less cynical scenario is when analysis shows that on fundamentals a stock is seriously overvalued and there seems to be little reason why the stock should stay overvalued. I can't see that scenario applying to ACR

    So the question remains why are the shorters increasing their positions?????
