I hope a sweetened offer comes next week whether it was the first or second offer. The sweetened offer is strategically chasing LGL's huge reserves of gold ore in Lihir island. I hope many more higher offers come in recognition of the increasing scarcity & higher marginal cost in locating large ore reserves which LGL has.
however the constraint is the financial resources NCM has in cash or borrowings or capacity to dilute their owners equity with more share script. I don't think NCM has that capacity. Hence your point fsc8 that there is a concern over this being NCM's first or second offer.
In my previous post I asked questions about potential suitors for LGL. There seems to be little mention on this message board of any other prospective suitors.
