I dont think NCM has constraints on what it can pay for LGL ($1B free cash flow, little debt, rising production etc) I think it has constraints on what it wants to pay. Neither company HAS to do a deal. NCM would love to add LGl's world class Lihir island asset to its already long life low cost resources. Whats in it for LGL though? LGL finally looks like it was getting its act together and has bright prospects. i think NCM's timing is great but I have a feeling LGL wont come cheap.
