It's still just a stock - a great one, but GE, Kodak, GM, AIG; all "great companies" by virtue of having been in the Dow once upon a time went bust or nearly bust too.
Yes Macquarie management is excellent but I wouldn't talk it up like it's the only great company in the world and should be the only one you own. Go buy some Costco , Google and Nike too, they're doing better than Macquarie for me lol (Macquarie is still my biggest holding as I loaded up at the bottom).
