I don't think the shorters particularly care what the value is. They only care about how they can manipulate the price to make a killing . . .

With the SP so volatile at present (due in part to these market manipulators at work), they are probably making good money. As a long term holder I take the view that the price is low and I bought more last week. I hope to profit over the long term. The shorters seem to be taking the view that they'll make money out of the volatility, I don't mind them speculating, its when I see them trading tiny parcels shares at 0.03 above or below offers/bids to manouvre the SP, that I get annoyed, especially if they are moving the SP down, but long term, they really don't have any great impact on the real value of the company.
