Forgot to add that with covered shorting, in addition to no disclosure you are also not bound by the 10% upper limit that the ASX sets for naked shorting. So you can short the bejeus out of a company which is what seems to be happening with some if you look at the turnovers. Also with naked shorting you are limited to a list of about 400 stocks. By the way ZFX was actually a noteworthy ommision from the official ASX short list. That meant you couldn't officially short ZFX the ASX way. You had to do it by covered shorting. Covered shorting can be any stock on the exchange. This was all highlighted during the Opes Crime collapse where many companies that were not on the official ASX (naked) short list (eg. small miners) had been heavily shorted using shares lent via Opes.
