This is pretty appalling I think anyway. I expect we are still one of the richest countries in the world, so why can't governments find a solution to this ongoing problem. This is not the 1930s for god's sake. (Though it could be soon)
I suppose the substantial stock of social housing has been sold of for more pressing problems like funding transgender surgery and shutting down reliable coal fired power stations. A lot of coal miners might be joining the queue for social housing, nah just ranting. They've made good money.
But Albo is sitting on his arse in his own dream time instead of tackling real problems. And it won't be much use handing out more benefits, that won't make more houses and flats suddenly materialize.
