Your statements in regards to lending shares is ill informed, the issue is that shares are lent out without the knowledge or permission of the owner.
Also you can't generalise what peeps on HC want to do in the market, some here want Aussie businesses to grow and flourish as it benefit everyone in the economy, and bring new tech to the world, and added bonus to be rewarded in doing so,
Yes you are affecting the outcome of a company if shorters destroy its value, it limits the companies borrowing capacities, and can create situations of capital raising requirements to keep things ticking, it also has direct implications if the company has direct financing arrangements linked to SP values etc, shorters also destroy the brand name and confidence in the company.
Anyways shorters won't be touching lyc after ge13 IMHO
