I trade FPMarkets, long on equities, short on CFDs. I have never had a problem with them. In fact they are fantastic compared to my previous crew.
One thing you should know about the short side. Mathew (I think) estimates the number of shorts for each equity in their list at the beginning of the day, and FP fully cover each CFD position from the pool of shortable stock. When the pool runs out of shortable stock for a particular equity, you get a message saying the pool is "dry".
If you want to do a big planned short, it pays to contact Mathew and tell him so he can allow for it. Anyway, it does no harm to talk to him.
