While there has been no corporate action in terms of more inevitable consolidation in Coal Seam Gas for some time, there has certainly been plenty of other positive action in the sector since the Arrow takeover..

Just a few off the top of my head (not in any particular order):

    1) Federal government approvals for 3 QLD CSG projects.
    2) F.I.D for all especially important for GLNG.
    3) Lapse of HGO top up.
    4) SANTOS eager uptake in ESG's most recent capital raising.
    5) D.C teasing the market and in spite of the SANTOS +20% creep confidently informing us he will take any takeover offer to the board for consideration.
    6) D.C and SANTOS openly talking up the real probability gas from The Gunnedah basin will be used to fuel GLNG - not to mention the real threat of the other projects wanting the gas also.
    7) Japanese Earthquake kills off nuclear options and provides a gaping hole in energy supply to Japan.
    8) Federal election result - ensuring more stagnation of growth as a counter balance to the positives uncertainty .

    Next big milestone:

    reserves upgrade

All in all, there has been loads of action - all heading in the right direction albeit slowly in parts but all roads eventually leading to Rome (locking in the sale).
