Another thing that strikes me about short selling.... Can it be regarded as a form of insider trading?
I mean... If the lender knows the shares are being lent out, and to whom as the short sellers seem to be well established, there's a good bet the lender then KNOWS the price is about to drop.....
Indeed, some of the arguments online by lenders indicates the DO take the opportunity to load up at cheaper prices when the opportunity presents itself. It seems to be one of their key arguments to support short selling in MY opinion.....
Questions that have no doubt been asked and answered before.... Please forgive me if such is the case....
