Since you mention them - in a recent video Jean-François Meilleur, Vice-President of Critical Elements name checked Galaxy as one company that was leading the way in new hard rock production, and in particular with the effective way they have handled mica reduction.
He even has a cool way of saying it in a french accent. Gallac-Seeeeee.
The rest of his spiel was all about selling his own company (hello...of course) but I think you'll find that sentiment is shared by many junior management teams in the speculative and next wave. Galaxy's management and the comapny's progress is well-respected in the lithium world, even if there are many haters here in competing stocks on HC, and there is a fair bit of homework-copying going on as we blaze the trail for them to follow, setting the prices and showing exactly what is possible etc.
Perhaps in the process, the trail blazer also gets more than his fair share of cuts and bruises.
So much easier to be a speculative company and not to be held to such high levels of account and unrealistic expectation.
But then the risks are different.
The vast majority of those specs will fail in a much more complete way and never reach any kind of production. That is a fact of life and a law of the lithium jungle.
For a share holder in those companies - they may risk losing everything. Permanently.
Galaxy's continued existence is much more certain.
The only question is how quickly they will grow in profitability and scale.

Perhaps you are not that familiar with the ASX. Shorting here is a fact of life for companies in the ASX200. I've heard that it isn't quite as vicious on other stock markets.
Management can't stop it from being the way that some brokers/banks/traders go about their biz.
But - the market knows that it also presents very good opportunities too.
Shorting, once it is overdone is a latent store of buying that has to happen.
And it is certainly overdone when it reaches 105%....

Don't worry too much about the sharks and blood.
They come in all varieties off the coast of the ASX and Short Squeeze is one of their favourite and easiest to smell flavours of blood in the water.
