4% shorted stock is not all that much I think. I agree that any shorting will not be helpful for people qho are genuinely interested in the company performance and are 'invested' on that basis. I have also been with NVX for a while and have followed their story as best I am able. I think the problem here, at the moment, is firstly the market has become much more risk averse with companies like NVX that talk a big game but have as yet to actually produce anything at all tangible. I am well aware that there are long lead times with these things just as once a contract for supply is signed the income therefrom should be very 'sticky'. They have previously indicated that ramping up to production of 4000 T.P.A. would begin this quarter. If they can comfirm that ramp up has begun then the share price should react positively if they do not then we are stuck at this level or lower. If they are not selling anything, they are not worth anyything except the value of their assets. Pretty simple. p.s. I am REALLY hoping they get their finger out and start selling stuff.
