I am a Warren Buffett type investor that generally holds positions for 10 years or more. I do derisk speculative stocks when they have a FOMO run by selling maybe up to 25% of my holding.
I don't have in depth knowledge of short term trading techniques, shorting and charting but I take note of chartists advice in the 50 odd stocks I hold. They frequently make good predictions. I am also encouraged when shorters fly in the face of positive news flow as it shows a desperation to suppress the price. I am also encouraged to buy and or hold when excessive down ramping occurs when a lot of good news has been announced.
