Totally agree with you, the increased negativity seem to be due to the implications of the rising COVID numbers in the US, but things look like they are starting to change finally!!
A couple of interesting charts from the United States Worldometer suggests that the estimated infection rate looks to have peaked but the demand on the number of beds needed won't peak till about mid to late January 2021.
