Shorts are not trapped imho.
They are here to stay and giving the daily market some volume. Although cuv is doing better than ever before in its history they manage to grind the SP down and make money from it. In my view they will keep doing so even if cuv would sell 1 million cyacelle radiant bottles every quarter. Of course the sell wall would be higher than 15 aud and they might need to go short holding 20pct in stead of 5pct today.
The buy back might be continued after the FY24 closure to avoid disturbing the final numbers too much. It will make the shorting a little more difficult but not fundamentally change the game. Clinuvel simply does not have the means to take on shorting. It's like the dog chasing its tail.
