I am an RNI holder and have been watching the trading here for several weeks. I formed the view a couple of weeks ago that the SP was being managed - anecdotal only. My concern was to see the SP finish above $1.28 as of about today as that would clear the Taurus debt and so I am now reasonably pleased to see mid 30s.
When I saw the SP run to $1.45 I was more pleased as any sale above $1.28 puts $180k per 1c into RNI's coffers. Then the management returned imo. Why?
In my view (just a guess mind you), RNI may have already found an off-market buyer for about $1.35, so keep the market price the same. That is the only reason I could think of, but there may be shenanigans as you imply or suggest.
Anyway, today's the EGM day at RNI and I reckon that MLX's SP will start its catch-up after today.
