Update:
Shorts continue to put downward pressure on the share price, even with it moving up over the past week or so. So I assume this means the higher share price will increase the cost of the short position (I'm not an expert...).  In the last 8 trading days, shorts accounted for an average of 20% of daily turnover each day;
