re: tax loss date What possible "very bad news" are people talking about? A further Ching downgrade (no basis for believeing this atm) would be the only real possibility. Tiof is neutral share price-wise at the moment. It will be at least several months before Tiof development will proceed, but WPL have made recent encouraging sounds about a phased development (a recent first for WPL & Tiof). Furthermore, WPL have started to talk about Tevet coming onto development.

So, overall, while Mauritania has been disappointing for HDR, surely the worst is over, as refelcted in the share price decline. I mean, what else could happen? in addition, what "very bad news" could possibly be on the way out of Uganda at the moment? It's one of the best drills in recent times. Some HDR supporters may be a bit too battle weary atm. The upside/downside equation is now significantly more on the upside now than it has been for several months. Anyt further share price weakness before the end of the week should be seen as an opp. to acquire at a price that probably won't be seen again.
