If the announcement is very positive and the price still cannot cover your loss, you can sell all your ASX holdings and buy A2.
The people who lender shares to shorter won't let the share price stay at a low level for a long time.
Once they need money, they will ask the shorter to return share and so that they can sell it.
Eventually, the people who lends the shares to shorter, will stand on our side, because they are the real long term investor.
