No, Scolloymore's screenshot shows the prior day's short activity (i.e. net short positions opened the prior day) as opposed to the cumulative outstanding shorts. The website below shows the total outstanding shorts, but they are reported on a 5 day lag. For some reason there is an error when loading the site today. But as of 12/13 (the day we saw the ~40mil surge in volume on the Chi-x) the ~40mil shorts are still open.
