    Not quite Ben. You borrow shares of a large holder for a fee and sell them on market. If the shares go down you buy them back and then
    give them back to the owner. The owner make a profit - the fee. You make a profit - sell price - minus buy price - fee.

    Of course if the share price goes up the owner still gets his fee. You make a loss because you have to buy them back at a higher price than what you sold them for.
