@tangs I have just now desisted from correcting a poster's (in fact two) basic grammatical errors - but changed my mind; I am allowing their lack to speak for itself. To me it signals above all, an inability to listen and learn.
But, thinking about this, the following came to mind:
writing on a forum such as this, is a good exercise to re-kindle one's skills in so many areas - even in language.
If you are lucky a poster such as you, will post an instructive or insightful response - for which I am grateful - but I am a 'learner' - I soak up information wherever I can get it. Sure, I have my political opinions, which at their base do not change, but I can change my opinion of people/politicians - watch their progress, approve, disapprove, and - maybe - learn to appreciate another point of view.
Conditioning to a certain point of view is something we all have in varying degrees, but essentially, in a democracy, we have a duty to inform ourselves about the state of affairs/health of our country (the world even, if we have the mental and emotional capacity to do so) - and because we are living in a democracy we have the privilege to do so and display and discuss our opinions in public.
( Homily of the day !) - after which I will shut up and clean my house!
Go well
