The “threat to Democracy” nonsense is a political PR talking point, made ironic by the fact that the party using it is now trying to force-out their own duly-elected nominee and replace him with an elite-selected candidate because they’re afraid that the candidate they voted for will lose.
Both sides develop slogans and most of them are more catchy than true.
