When you say "invest" that could easily be taken to mean "buy" as in the recent Chevron incident. I think Australia needs to make it clear that only listed or private companies with clear commercial motives are allowed to invest. Sadly, I don't think Howard's up to defending our interests. The US FTA is proof of our governments failure to be able to negotiate in the national interest.
