My bet is that it will effect current divi, they will want to use as much of the internal cash they have to buy any assets.
Also reasonable to assume they have discussed the acquisition already hence why they tapped invest bankers RBC, nothing like getting your finances approved/sorted out so you know your limits before making an offer.
