@pintohoo; during today's Question Time in the HOR and in response to one of the ridiculous questions asked of him about nuclear powered submarines, Albanese reminded Peter Dutton that not very long ago he made very public remarks denouncing nuclear power stations ... Hellohhhhhh Peter!!
Dutton's dreadful decision to launch his 'Dutton Nuclear Power Policy' was exposed as 100% at odds with what he was saying as Opposition Leader just twelve months ago.
Even more damning and incredibly cringeworthy, Dutton's own ridiculous questions exposed his erroneous belief that the AUKUS submarines will be powered by fuel rods that have to be replaced on a regular basis - the subs' reactors are SEALED for life and are NOT mini copies of large nuclear reactors at all.
It was oh-so-apparent that Dutton does NOT even understand the most basic of points about his own inane nuclear policy!
Dutton's large power stations will indeed require nuclear waste management and a highly skilled specialist workforce commencing prior to 2035 - the AUKUS subs will generate far less nuclear waste and that contained nuclear waste will not have to be addressed until after 2050! Dutton appeared to be totally incapable of understanding that - whatever credibility he had, now dead ion the water!
