TTH - following up on your comment from last night I have just spoken with Richard Legge.

I did not get much further than Sivaldo.

I put it Richard that as of 4 June it had seemed to me that PLT could not comply with the Corporations Act requirement for a bid to be in the hands of shareholders by 17 June due to the 14 day period between lodgement and despatch.

It was not clear whether Richard was on top of the 14 day issue. His response was to say that PLT expected to be in a position to finalise the Bidders' Statement by early next week. It was not clear of the level of his knowledge of the nuances of the statutory timetable.

I said that I hoped that he had good lawyers. He said that a lot of money is being spent on legal advice.

As you would expect, at all times Richard chose his words carefully and gave little away. He did say that he would let the Managing Director know that I had called and that an update to the market may be in order in the next little while.
