I have no problem with them tryin gto get immigrants to regional areas, but you raise a good point.
They dont need policy that forces people there, they need a policy of investing to develop these regional areas so people want to go there. Immigrants or residents alike.
The bulk of jobs created by forcing immigrants to regional services would be around support and social welfare services, not something we should aspire to as its unsustainable.
