Sure, individual women in Aus probably do fear some men for good reason. That's far different from a 'belief system' that is imposed on women that all men are to be feared.
I also work in the health sector and see burqa - wearing women from time to time. It is dismaying to see the reaction of some of these women - to even eye contact with a male - let alone physical contact (professional) which is near impossible. It seems that the wearing of the burqa and the concept behind it is so ingrained in their psychology that it is very distressing for them to have almost any contact with a male other than husband etc.
People say it is their choice to wear it and they should be free to - i agree it is their choice because they really don't have any other. Sad.
