Dont agree that a vote would ban the Burqa. Australians in the end would realise the sensitivity in terms of religous freedoms and would not vote for such a ban. An analogy can be made earlier in the previous century when the government wanted to ban the communist Party in Australia which was very unpopular at the time and in a referendum the public voted against the ban. Religous freedom and political freedom are two issues that the majority of Australians will always support. The only qualification is that they do not usurp the laws of the nation.
