Imo you are so missing the point with your post ... you fiddle whilst Rome burns ... you would plunge the sword after unions and staff have cornered the bull? What on earth would be gained by your proposed action? Are you hell bent on destroying tens of thousands of jobs?
The issue at stake is the right of a business to organise its operations and staffing to be globally competitive. It is NOT Qantas's role to be a defacto social security provider for pilots, engineers and ground staff by protecting globally inefficient productivity, work practices and pay claims !
