I think I read a few of your posts back about kick starting the refinery would have fixed the off take problem.. mannn we would be in a world of pain right now had that of happened.
Your not wrong there Norbeto and kick starting a refinery requires an offtake in place first, Its one thing to getting an OTA but another getting one reasonable terms...the fact nothing was going to be committed towards building a refinery untill the plant was ramped up and proven viable meant it went on the backburner early as prices collapsed and still remains there.
The company has made it clear some time ago after the review that it's focus is now on spodumene and for good reason, we don't and never have had the capital or experience to build a refinery.
It seems some can't grasp the fact the collapse in the price of Spodume meant the dreams and possibilities when margins were several thousand dollars a tonne have meet the reality of no margins at all presently. Margins in mining are usually measured in hundreds of dollars a tonne( and often less than a hundred) not thousands. It's were volume becomes more important and is why Management have expansion as the next step.
Assuming the merger is consummated then it finally marks the real beginning, with the previous 4-5 years largely preparing for it IMO.
