the thing i find most hilarious is that they say sales staff productivity was low and due to poor performers so they get rid of them - good, but then replace them + some. They didnt know that?
Why not make the remaining staff work harder to ensure its not actually the business slipping rather then purely underperforming sales staff.
Whilst sometimes just throwing more sales staff at the problem works i dont think in this case it was that sensible. Would be interested to know the incremental sales revenue from additional sales staff in H2 over and above cost.
This is a case of directors watching the share price rise and thinking they can do no wrong - have seen it all before !
