    Too right Wayward.

Everyone before they step into the market has to acquaint themselves with stock market 101 for the modern era. Algorithmic trading, short selling, options etc. If people want to whinge about about their stock falling and that its all too hard because of some of these market mechanisms, then they should just quit now and find something else to invest in. Installing a solar power system for your house, for example, was a great investment decision prior to this month. I'm no greenie, but it was a no-brainer. No bots or shorts to be seen there.

The fact remains that if a stock is good enough then it will perform well. LYC, CDU and LNC are three popular stocks on this forum that have been shorted to some degree, and holders continue to blame their misfortune on this minority group of so called 'manipulators'. There's no point blaming it on others if your investment drops in value, because you should have known about all of the above before you dipped your toe in. That's not to say that these market mechanisms are the reason for the aforementioned stocks falling over the past few months. If short selling really was the route of all evil, then why have CRZ and FLT performed so well this year? Maybe sellers just want to sell LYC, CDU, LNC etc because the stocks are dogs? Good old fashioned selling, who would've thought!
