Somewhere in between is utopian, an experienced finance guy in the treasury, medical professionals in health, etc. Big problem being we can only select from sitting MPs which means you need to get them elected first. Mandela broke the rules by appointing a non elected business man to run the finances. Great result, but eventually fell short because he was the wrong colour for SA politics. Most Aussie's appear to think they are voting for a particular PM, when they are only voting for a local member, and the 'party' select the glorious leader. I just accept that people in large groups generally default to the dumbest position offered up. That's how we got Turnbull Rudd Scomo Gillard, not in any particular order but all are useless turds.
