I'm not happy with Hinch at all, here. Either make the law more austere and punitive or, once they've served their sentence and paid for their crime, protect them them from the hysterical vigilantes.

Hinch in sex offender disclosures probe
By AAP
Victoria Police will investigate whether outspoken broadcaster Derryn Hinch should be charged for revealing the names of two protected sex offenders.
The Office of Police Prosecutions (OPP) is referring the matter to police after Hinch named the two men during a rally on the steps of the Victorian parliament on Sunday.
"Basically the director intends to refer the matter to police for investigation," an OPP spokeswoman said.
She said the OPP would then decide whether to prosecute, based on the recommendations of police.
Hinch, a presenter on Radio 3AW, named a notorious serial pedophile who was released into the community after serving out his parole period.
The man spent almost 20 years in jail for abusing children as young as four.
His name is suppressed in the interests of his rehabilitation.
During the victims of crime rally, Hinch also named a rapist who reoffended within six weeks of being released from prison.
A police spokeswoman said the matter had been referred to police but they were still awaiting further details.
"Once we have received the file it will be allocated to an investigator to follow up," she said.
Hinch was jailed in 1987 for revealing on radio the past convictions of a pedophile priest who had further charges pending.
