if Aus is to maintain our sovereignty we need allies and in a conflict situation there needs to be a single managing authority, whether this be a committee of representatives of all nations in an alliance, my preferred means of arrangement and respectful of the sovereignty of all allied nations, or a single General.
this doesn't imply that Aus cedes sovereignty to the US.
