Exactly, no election has called been for sept 14, she has to wait until august to visit the GG. Parliament has not been dissolved, there is no caretaker government, new spending has not been frozen. This is just a sham. It is just an intention, about as flakey as saying, I intend to go full term. It is not binding on anyone, especially a new leader. Business have already said it does not provide any more certainty as it is in the expected range.
So what is the point ? It does not stop anyone challenging her, it does not make the opposition release any policy detail, it does not stop her going early if circumstances change (rofl).
