I’m a confirmed denyer, but I’m all for lithium mining.
In fact, I’m all for any mining Australia can do, be it lithium, nickel, rare earths, cobalt (usually a by-product), not to mention coal and extracting oil and gas.
The more export income, the better!
But I do think the adoption of EVs will be slower than advocates of the technology think. Main issues still being sticker shock, range and recharge times. All three issues will eventually get sorted, but we’ll be needing hydrocarbons for decades to come, for shipping, aviation, earthmoving equipment, if not so much for cars (and, more slowly, trucks).
